There will be a DJ at the event from 6:30pm until 9:30pm, and at times the venue may be louder than usual, although we have asked that all volume levels remain respectful of similar outdoor events. The DJ will not be performing past 9:30pm.

We apologize in advance for the reduced pool hours tomorrow, and we appreciate both your support and understanding.

2023 Pool Season | Electronic Pool Pass Registration and Account Setup

Hello Neighbors,

Electronic Pool Passes are here!
The Washingtonian Woods HOA Board of Directors is please to announce that starting this year — for the 2023 Pool Season and beyond — we will be utilizing a new online platform for all neighborhood seasonal Pool Passes, called CellBadge.

All households will create their online accounts and configure their household members; and then the lifeguards will be checking members into the pool via a tablet and the online system. Household online accounts will only need to be created once; although, they will be re-verified each pool season. Additionally, households will be able to easily update their household information year after year — such as new family members, update children’s ages, etc.

We hope that this new system will provide a much more desirable and easier way to manage pool passes and access for neighbors.

CellBadge Account Registration Instructions
Please take a moment to setup your initial household accounts following the directions below. Once you have successfully completed your account registration and configured the family members of your household, you will be able to use the pool for the 2023 season.

Account Registration Consists of These Steps:

  1. Initial One-time Account Registration (at the link below)
  2. Verification of Account Registration by PMP
  3. Access PIN and Initial Login
  4. Family Account Setup

Online Account Registration Link/Website:
Please visit this website to being your account setup and online registration:
https://wwoods.cellbadge.com/Register

Additionally, please refer to this attached CellBadge Pool Access Registration Instructions documentation to aid your online registration process.

If you have any questions, or need assistance with your initial household account setup, please feel free to reach out to Tim Mulford at PMP ([email protected]
301-963-3337), and he will be glad to assist.

We kindly ask that all households ensure that their accounts are setup no later than Friday, May 19, 2023 to ensure entry to the pool and smooth start to the pool season. And, we kindly ask for everyone’s grace and patience in the coming weeks as the both lifeguards and households familiarize themselves with the system.

We hope everyone is staying safe and well!

Thank you,
Glenn Watts

Please note the Annual Compliance Review is in addition to regular drive through visits. The reviews are done from the streets and common areas, and may include photos. Election Results | Pool Tree Work | Trash Service Update

Hello Neighbors,

Election Results
At the rescheduled annual meeting, which occurred on February 28, 2023, the following residents were elected to the Board:

Kellie Meade
Glenn Watts

Thank you to all residents who offered to volunteer their time by running for a position on the Board.

Pool Tree Work
Weather permitting, there will be tree work happening this coming week at the pool in preparation for the upcoming pool season. The aged and overgrown pine trees behind the pool pavilion will be getting removed and will be replaced with 22 new arborvitaes. The arborvitaes will act as a green screen and run along the length of the metal fence behind the pavilion. Additionally, additional plantings will be getting installed around the pavilion as well. Please see the sketch below.

Neighborhood Trash Collection Service
The Board still does not have any updates with regards to timing around the implementation of our trash service to one day a week. We do not yet know when the change will be implemented, nor do we know our scheduled day-of-week for service. However, we will certainly keep everyone informed as we learn more, and with the intent of giving everyone as much time as possible to prepare. Thank you all for your extended patience.

Next Board Meeting – March 28, 2023, 7pm
The Association holds monthly Board meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month (with the exception of December.) The meetings start at 7pm and are currently held over Zoom. Due to privacy concerns and a need to verify attendance, the Board has decided not to post meeting Zoom links in a public forum. Rather, all residents interested in attending a Board meeting should reach out to Tim Mulford ([email protected]), and Tim will provide the appropriate Zoom link once available.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Belward Farm Amenities Wishlist | Neighborhood Street Light Improvements

Hello Neighbors,

Belward Farm Amenities Wishlist
As many of you know, Belward Farm is slated for redevelopment. The Montgomery Planning Board will be voting on the site plan this January. In advance of that approval, the landowners, Johns Hopkins University, are interested in what neighbors of the farm (Washingtonian Woods and Mission Hills) would like to see built/kept/repurposed for community use. Some ideas include: a community garden, event space in the dairy barn, and a pedestrian walkway to the property over/under Muddy Branch Road. What would you like to see? Our requests will likely apply to the dozen acres around the homestead which will remain as-is, as it is protected by the Montgomery County Historic Commission.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to have our voices heard. Please submit your requests to Tim Mulford ([email protected]) by Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
(Above: The Dairy Barn at Belward Farm)

Neighborhood Street Light Improvements
As many of you may have noticed, the light fixtures atop the lampposts throughout our neighborhood have recently been replaced with brighter LED fixtures. The newer, brighter LED fixtures will not only increase visibility throughout the neighborhood during nighttime hours, but will also make the neighborhood more energy efficient as well.

This is all part of the City of Gaithersburg’s LED Street Light Conversion Project. You can learn more about this project here.

We hope everyone is staying safe and well.

Thank you,
Glenn Watts
